We play many games on our Android smartphones, right?Let it be children, teenagers or even adults everyone likes to play games.It’s a great way to kill boredom and it’s quite awesome too.But do you know that there are many people who have the desire to make their own games and play them.I think you are also one of them as you are reading this tutorial.After reading this tutorial you will be able to create and play your own game.We will be making A Simple Android Game App Using MIT AppInventor.Sound’s interesting right?So without wasting much time let’s get started.
1.A desktop or a laptop
Steps To Make A Simple Android Game App Using MIT AppInventor:-
Step 1: Visit http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/
you will be directed to the MIT App Inventor website.
Step 2: Click on “Create apps!” button on the top right.
Step 3: After clicking on the “Create apps!” button you will be promoted to the next screen where you will have to “sign up” and “login”.After “Signing up” or “logging in” you will be able to see the below page.
Your Projects will be empty as you haven’t started yet. Click on “Start new project“.

Step 4: Now you will be asked to enter the project name.We will be making a simple ball game that we can move by touching it and it will bounce back after hitting the edge.So we will name this project as “Ball_game”. Remember there should be no spaces in the name.Click “Ok” after entering the name.
After Clicking OK, the project opens and it looks like below.
Step 5: On the left side there is “Palette“, scroll down and in the “Palette” you will find “Drawing and Animation” click on that and you will be provided with three more options.
Step 6: Click on the “Canvas” and drag it to the “Screen1” in the “Viewer“.Now in “Properties” select “Fill Parent” in both “Height” and “Width“.
Step 7: Similarly click on the “Ball” and drag it on the “Canvas” on “Screen 1” and in “Properties” select the color and also enter the “radius” of the ball.
Step 8: Now we have to do the working part of the app.Don’t worry we do not need to write code.It’s easy.
Click on “Blocks” button on the top right.
Step 9: Click on “Ball1” in the “Blocks“.Now click on the block called “when Ball1.Flung” and drag it to the right.
Step 10: Now click on “Ball1” in the blocks again and then scroll down a little to find “set Ball1.Speed to” block and select it and drag it such that it gets fixed with the before block,It will look like below
Step 11: Move your mouse pointer over “Speed” in the first block and then select “get speed” and fix it with the “set Ball1.Speed to”
Step 12: Again click on “Ball1” in the blocks and select the “set Ball1.Heading to” and drag it and fix it in the first block and as we did before, move the mouse pointer over “Heading” in the first block and select “get Heading” and fix it with the “set Ball1.Heading to” block.
Step 13: Similarly follow the steps and build another block like one show below
Now move the mouse pointer on “edge” and select “get edge” and fix it as shown in the below image.
The above image is of the completed blocks.
(If you want to delete any block select the block and drag it to the “trash can” on the right)

Step 14: Now click on “Build” and select the option you like and download the APK and install the app on your Android phone.Now your game app is ready.Enjoy playing your game.
